Lester No-Hitter!!

It was truly spectacular & I was there for it! Will post pix when I get back to Florida. There really aren't words. It was pretty cold & windy but the best $30 I've spent in a long time and the best time in a long time too! SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD!!!!!

Back story:

Here in Boston w/BFF Robyn as her guest for her graduation trip....I indoctrinated the poor girl into RSN. So our intent was to see games daily but there's a ton to do here as many of you know and after tonite...yeah, like we could top this. Her big thing was "I must see 1 game at Fenway." It is the Vatican of Red Sox Nation.

We came over to the DAY of GAME entrance/Gate E as a 'let's see how much tickets are each and go from there." $30/ea so we took 'em & ran w/it. Robyn's 1st game at Fenway Pahk.

Lester pitched beautifully and our bats were rockin' it too but to be honest most people were focusing on Manny getting #499. No one from our bullpen stood up at any point during the game, Ellsbury made a catch that took my breath away & there were many other awesome plays. Lester just kept throwing strikes and I could see where it was headed but kept thinking 'shut up Jill someone will get a hit.' Two women got engagement rings but no hits for the Royals.

Robyn is thrilled, I am thrilled and every time I think I can't be prouder of my team I'm proven wrong. We were in tears, the people around us were in tears. We were all going 'omg Lester just won the game and it was a no-hitter!' Then we ran into Mish & Bob on the red line. Wicked awesome!
